The December meeting of the Heartland DX Association was held on Friday,
December 17, 2010 at Perkins Restaurant, 108th and L Street in Omaha.

Business Items:

Bill, K9RZ reported that the scoring of the 2010 Nebraska QSO Party has been
completed.  All award certficates have been mailed out.  Bill showed the group
the plaque that is being awarded to KØPC for the highest overall score in the
contest.  There was considerable discussion regarding the 2011 NEQP.  K9RZ,
KØIL and NEØDX will draft the proposed rule changes that were discussed and
report back to the group at the January meeting.

There was discussion regarding the weekly DX News and Information Net.  Net
participation has been steadily declining over the past year or so.  We are
down to only 2-3 check-ins per week (usually the net controls talking to each
other!).  The original purpose of the net was to exchange items of news and
interest that were dx related, but now with virtually everyone having access to
the Internet, the net no longer serves that purpose.  Unless participation
picks up dramtically by the end of the year, the net will most likely be
discontinued in 2011.  As net manager, K9RZ would like to receive any input pro
or con regarding this decision.

Pursuant to the by-laws, the annual business meeting of the Heartland DX
Association will be held on Friday, January 21, 2011 beginning at 7:00 PM.  The
meeting will be held at Perkin's Restaurant, 108th and L Streets in Omaha.  The
meeting will follow dinner which begins at 6:00 PM.

1. Election/Reaffirmation of Current Officers:  President - Todd KKØDX
                                                Vice President - Ed KØIL
                                                Secretary - Bill K9RZ
                                                Treasurer - Jeff NEØDX

   Additional nominations for any of the officer positions will be accepted
from the floor at the annual meeting.


2. Annual report from the officers.


3. Any additional business items from the membership.


Following the business meeting, Bill - KAØVXK will present a program on the
DX-Lab Suite of ham radio software.
